The Lost Hat

Mary was going to attend her cousin's wedding. When she was picking what to wear for the wedding, she found that her hat was not good enough to match her dress. It looked old and plain. Mary decided to do some work to make it look nice. She searched her sewing basket and found some cloth of different colors. With the cloth, she made lovely flowers. Then she sewed the flowers onto the hat. It looked wonderful. The big day came. It was a windy day. A strong wind blew away Mary's hat and it was soon out of sight. The next day, she saw a fashionable woman on the street. She was wearing a hat, which looked similar to Mary's lost hat. Curious and excited, Mary approached the woman and asked her where she got the hat. The woman said that a strong wind brought the hat to her garden the day before. She really liked it. Mary proudly told her that it was her handmade hat. The woman was much impressed. In fact, the woman was a fashion designer. She appreciated Mary's talent and invited her to work as her assistant. Mary happily accepted the offer.
