Our oceans give us life and food. They can feed one billion people every day forever. But plastic waste is hurting our oceans. Every minute, a truckload of plastic goes into the sea. Plastic floats on top, mixes with water, and sits at the bottom of the ocean. It never disappears. Instead, it breaks into tiny pieces called microplastics. This plastic is killing sea animals. Turtles, whales, and small sea creatures eat it. Even humans eat and drink plastic without knowing it. We can help by using less plastic and choosing plastic-free products.
