China became the first country to win more than 30 gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Games, as victories came at the gymnastics venue and diving pool on Tuesday.

At the Ariake Gymnastics Centre, Guan Chenchen grabbed her first Olympic medal a gold in the women's balance beam final. Guan's teammate Tang Xijing won silver, while star US gymnast Simone Biles took the bronze.
