汉语言短期进修项目介绍
预科教育学院是华侨大学面向海外开展来华留学预科教育以及汉语言短期进修的专门学院,是中国教育部批准的中国政府奖学金本科来华留学生预科教育17所试点院校之一。学院拥有一支热爱华文教育事业、熟悉海外学生特点的专业化教师队伍,专门承担中文零起点海外华裔新生代、外国留学生、公务人员和行业精英的中文速成教育。
汉语言短期进修生项目招收具有高中毕业以上程度,年满18周岁、原则上不超过22周岁,品行端正、身体健康,持有效护照的海外华侨华人、外国留学生。
汉语言短期进修生项目学制分为一学期和一学年。分别设有初级、中级、高级三个不同级别的班级。全面开展汉语听、说、读、写、译等专项技能与综合技能训练,传授汉语言知识和中华文化知识,培养具备扎实的汉语言语能力与跨文化交际能力,系统掌握汉语基础理论,了解中国国情与社会文化,熟悉中华文化国际传播,能够胜任用汉语进行文化交流的应用型人才。全面提升汉语水平、专业知识储备及跨文化交际能力,做好与中国教育的衔接,结业后达到进入中国高校专业阶段学习的标准。
教学模式:
采用综合教学模式,精讲多练、个性化辅导、小班教学(25人/班)相结合的教学模式,通过大课时量、大输入量的教学措施,为学生营造“沉浸式”汉语学习和使用环境,每月进行学业成效测试。

1.初级:拼音、初级汉语综合、初级汉语应用、初级汉语读写、汉语词汇、中国概况。

开学时间与入学申请手续
一、开学时间:2026年9月初
二、报名时间:2026年2月1日-2026年5月31日。
三、入学申请办法:
1.通过网上报名系统(https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/)申请并上传相关材料(证件照、护照复印件、高中毕业证书、高中成绩单、近半年体检材料等)。
2.我校将及时审核学生报名材料,并将问题在报名系统上反馈。已录取的学生,可在报名系统上下载“录取通知函”,查看奖学金授予情况。
3.我校为已录取的学生办理DQ表或JW202表,学生可通过邮箱自行下载。
4.学生持DQ表或JW202表、录取通知书等材料到中国驻所在国使领馆办理学习签证(X1、X2)。
5.学生及时关注华侨大学本科招生信息网发布的《留学生入学须知》,按规定时间报到入学。学生入学后一周内必须到学院学生办公室,办理住宿登记、保险、身体检查、外国人居留证等相关手续,费用自理。

Application Guide for Short-Term Chinese Language Program, Huaqiao University 2026
Established in 1960 and situated in Xiamen and Quanzhou, Fujian province, P.R.C., HQU is a comprehensive university directly under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China. It is designated as a National Base for Chinese Language and Culture Education, a National Base for University Students' Cultural Quality Education, a National Demonstration Base for Language Service Export, a National Demonstration University for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform, and a National Base for the Inheritance of Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture in Higher Education Institutions.

Introduction to Short-Term Chinese Language Program
Preparatory Education College shoulders the responsibility of conducting college-prep education and short-term Chinese language program. It is one of the 17 pilot universities approved by the Ministry of Education of China to provide preparatory education for international students with Chinese Government Scholarship. The college enjoys professional teaching and auxiliary staff who are committed to Chinese culture and language education and are excelling in teaching overseas students. It is dedicated to providing Chinese education for Chinese beginners of the new generation of overseas Chinese, foreign students, civil servants and industry elites.
The Short-Term Chinese Language Program recruits overseas Chinese and foreign students who have senior high school diplomas, between 18 and 22 years old, in good physical and mental health, with good behavior and clean criminal record.
The Short Term Chinese Language Programs include one-semester program and one-academic-year program. There are three different levels of classes: elementary class, intermediate class and advanced class. The program focuses on training students’ comprehensive skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation. It aims at training high-quality talents with excellent Chinese language proficiency, cross-culture communicative competence, systematic knowledge of Chinese language, good understanding of China’s national condition and social culture. Students will be familiar with the international communication of Chinese culture and be able to use Chinese for cultural exchanges. The program improves students’ Chinese language level so as to help them better prepare for the further degree studies in China.
Teaching Mode:
The program features meticulous teaching, enough practice, personalized guidance and small-class teaching (25 students/class). Intensive courses and large amount of input are adopted to create an immersive Chinese learning and using environment for students. Tests are conducted every month.
Curriculum:
1. Elementary Class: Pinyin, Comprehensive Elementary Chinese, Elementary Chinese Application, Elementary Chinese Reading and Writing, Chinese Vocabulary, Overview of China.
2. Intermediate Class: Comprehensive Intermediate Chinese, Intermediate Chinese Application, Intermediate Chinese Reading and Writing, Chinese Vocabulary, Liberal Arts Chinese, Science and Technology Chinese, Overview of China.
3. Advanced Class: Comprehensive Advanced Chinese, Advanced Chinese Application, Advanced Chinese Reading and Writing, Advanced Vocabulary, Chinese for College Liberal Arts Majors, Chinese for College Science and Technology Majors, Overview of China.
4. Elective Class: Preparatory Mathematics, Preparatory Physics, Preparatory Chemistry, Chinese Music, Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese painting, etc.
Course Advantages:
The program helps improve students' Chinese competence and cross-cultural communication skills so as to qualify them for the further degree studies in Chinese institutes of higher education.
School Calendar and Application Procedures
Fall Semester: begins in early September, 2026
Application Period: from 1st February, 2026 to 31st May, 2026.
How to Apply:
1. Students log on the application website (https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/) to submit the application. Documents needed include photo, passport, high school graduation certificate, high school transcript, physical examination materials within the past six months, etc.
2. HQU reviews the application documents and provides feedback through the application system. Students admitted can download the ‘Admission Notice’ through the application system and check the scholarship awarded.
3. HQU issues the DQ or JW202 Form for students. Students download the DQ or JW202 Form themselves via email.
4. Students apply for study visa (X1, X2) at the local Chinese Embassy with the DQ or JW202 Form and Admission Letter.
5. Students should pay attention to the “Admission Instructions for International Students” released on the Undergraduate Admissions Information website of Huaqiao University (https://zsc.hqu.edu.cn/zsxx/gatqjlxsbkzs.htm), and register at the time specified. Within one week after entering China, students should go to the Students Affairs Office to settle their residence registration, insurance, physical examination and residence permit. The expenses will be paid by students themselves.
